How to Play
Goal
Reduce your opponent's Face to 0. Each fight you and your foe start at a set Face (life).
Factions
Ninja (indigo): fast and lethal — stealth and first strikes. Samurai (crimson): disciplined and durable — taunts and fortifications. Neutral cards serve either clan.
Resources
Ninja spend Ki, which refreshes every turn but never banks — use it or lose it. Samurai spend Resolve, which accumulates and grows — save it for a decisive blow.
Your turn
Play cards (pay their cost), attack with ready units, evolve or garrison, then End Turn. A freshly played unit has summoning sickness and cannot attack the turn it arrives.
Combat
Attackers deal ATK; the defender's DEF blunts it; units fall when HP hits 0. Damage is mostly deterministic with a small luck-driven critical chance, and every third action lands a guaranteed Momentum critical.
Keywords
First Strike — strikes before it can be struck back.
Taunt — enemies must attack it first.
Stealth — cannot be targeted until it attacks.
Lifesteal — heals its controller when it deals damage.
Structures & Garrison
Build structures on your line for turn-by-turn passives. Garrison a unit inside one — a Dojo, for example, trains its garrison, granting XP toward evolution.
Evolution
Units earn XP in battle and while garrisoned. At a threshold they evolve mid-fight down a branching path into a stronger form, keeping their instance and any attached gear.
Weapons & Equipment
Attach up to two pieces of equipment to a unit for stat and keyword bonuses. The buffs persist even when the unit evolves.
Combos & Synergies
Cards react to your plays: some buff each ally of their clan as it enters, others reward controlling a structure or fielding several of one faction. Sequence your turn to trigger them.
The Run
Choose a clan, build a legal deck, then travel a node map of fights, elites, shops and a final boss. Your Face carries between fights; win to earn gold, cards, heals and evolution tokens; forge and shop between battles.
Meta progression
Across runs you earn Koban and Mastery. Spend Koban in the Shop on PvE run perks, loadout unlocks, and cosmetics — never on raw power; ranked play stays fair.
